Korean rice noodle - Duk Guk

Korean Fish Cake - Otang

Steps:

1. Prepare soup base

2. Fried egg and cut them into thin strips

3. Once soup base started boiling, pour in rice cake. Cook until rice cake has softened enough.

4. Add Korean fish cake - otang. Cook for a further 5 minutes

5. Final steps is to garnish the bowl of hot rice cake with egg strips and sea weeds

Simple Tomato Carrot Soup

 Here is a very simple tomato soup recipe done in a pressure cooker. Cooking time: 33 minutes.


Steps and ingredients:
  1. Two pieces of pork (any part will do). Pan fry them with a bit of oil, make sure they are browned nicely and smell amazing.
  2. Two carrots and one large onion. Chop them, toss into the pressure cooker, let them cook a bit using saute mode.
  3. Six tomatoes. Toss into the fry pan, the same pan used for browning the pork. No need to cook them for long, doing this is for getting the meat flavor into the tomatoes, don't waste those pork juice.
  4. Put all ingredients into the pressure cooker. 
  5. Add 1.5 litre of water
  6. Add one teaspoon of salt and few pinches of ground pepper. Close the lid on the pressure cooker, make the valve is in sealed position, set timer to 33 minutes and it's that easy to cook healthy tomato soup, perfect for those chilly winter nights.


Korean Food - Chicken Congee (Duk Juk)

 Equipment: Pressure cooker

Ingredients: Spring onions, whole chicken (organic) preferred, red dates x 10 pieces, garlic (few gloves)
Process:
1. Wash chicken, remove skins and trim out fat
2. Wash spring onions, cut to good length
3. Add 1.5 litre of water
4. Add red dates and garlic
5. Cover lid, set timer to 27 minutes and walk away




Pan Fry Snapper

 Ingredients:

1. One snapper, washed and scaled.

2. Apply dry rub inside the fish stomach. Dry rub ingredients: ginger powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and small pinch of sugar.

3. Sauce for pouring on the fish after pan frying is done: 

2 table spoon soya sauce

3 green onions

2 garlic clovers

1 green chille pepper

1 table spoon hot pepper flakes

2 teaspoon sugar

1 table spoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

1. Heat up oil, once it is hot enough place snapper into the fry pan

2. fry for 8 minutes, turn the fish

3. fry for another 5 minutes

4. Test the fish meat with a fork, if it cuts through easily, this means it's done and ready to serve.





Korean Style Black Bean Sauce Honey Chicken Breast

 Ingredients:

Make this sauce to marinate the chicken breast for 30 minutes.

1. 1.5 table spoon of Korean black bean sauce (Ja Jang)

2. 1 table spoon of honey

3. A pinch of salt, pepper, sugar and chilli flakes


Steps:

1. Heat up oil in fry pan

2. When oil starts to smoke, reduce heat to medium

4. Pan fry chicken breast in batches until fully cooked





Korean Food - Air Fry Sweet Potato

 Ingredients:

A bag of frozen deep fried sweet potato


Steps:

20 minutes in the air fryer at 160 degrees. No need to turn them.





Before cooking: Frozen from the freezer.

Insanely Crispy Cajun Air Fry Chicken Strips






This recipe is insanely tasty and very easy to make.

Ingredients
- Chicken thighs with fat trimmed. 
- Salt, Sugar, Cajun spices, Mayonaise, Bread Crumbs
- Salad mix

Process:
1. Cut chicken thighs into thin strips.
2. Marinate chicken meat with pinch of salt, sugar and Cajun spices. For best results, marinate meat for 8 hours.
3. Mix marinated chicken meat with generous amount of mayonaise. Try to thicken mayonaise with egg white if necessary. Overly liquid mayonaise will not give the best results.
4. Roll chicken strips in bread crumbs, make sure the meat is fully coated in bread crumbs. No oil required.
5. Place coated chicken strips into the Air Fryer. Set it to cook for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. When finished, place chicken strips into your salad.


Air Fry BBQ Pork Rib



Mouth watering BBQ Pork Rib


Ingredients:
BBQ sauce, salt, Chinese Cooking Wine, five-spice powder, spring onion, onion, a pack of pork rib, sugar

Marinate (overnight):

  1. Wash the pork rib.
  2. 2 table spoon of cooking wine, rub generously on the pork rib.
  3. Rub a pinch of salt, sugar and five-spice powder on the pork rib.

Sauce:
On a small pan, brown onion with a tablespoon of olive oil.
Pour half cup of BBQ sauce into pan.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Add 1 tablespoon of cooking wine.
Mix well.
Remove from stove, add in a handful of chopped spring onions. Stir thoroughly.

Cooking the rib:

  1. Ribs go into the air fryer
  2. First 10 minutes, 160c
  3. Open air fryer, generously brush sauce on the ribs on both sides. Turn the ribs and continue for 15 more minutes at 160c.


Total air fryer cooking time: 25 minutes






Air Fry Ham Omelette - Simple Style


Ingredients:
Spring onion, ham, chopped onion, tomato.

Cooking:

  • Beat 4 eggs in a bowl, add chopped spring onions
  • Brown 1 onion and 2 slices of ham in a pan
  • Chop 4 small tomatoes and air fry for 10 minutes at 200c to reduce moisture.
  • Combine all ingredients in air fry and cook for 20 minutes at 170c.

Korean Pancake Recipe (Non air fryer recipe)
Ingredients:
Leek, Sesame Leaves, Egg, Flour, Potato Starch, Rice Flour, a pinch of salt, Water, Prawns, Onions




The ingredients:





Combine egg, flour, potato starch, rice flour and water. Mix well. Add water to reach non-sticky consistency.

Cut leek, sesame leaves. Use a mixer to mince prawns and onions. Combine all mixture, pan fry till golden colour.

Finally, prepare dipping sauce with 4 x tablespoons soy sauce and 1 x teaspoon chilli sauce.
